Dr. Egide Kalisa received the Most Accomplished Researcher Award, which came with a prize of Rwf 10 million.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Council for Science and Technology (NCST) extends its warm congratulations to you for receiving the “Most Accomplished Researcher Award” during the “Pre-NCST Council Meeting Symposium” held on 18th October 2023. This prestigious award acknowledges Dr Egide Kalisa’s exceptional research contribution to addressing critical societal challenges in Rwanda. The awards were presented after the NCST Pre-Council Meeting Symposium, which was organized to provide valuable insights into research outputs for socio-economic development. The event took place at the Kigali Serena Hotel. Dr. Egide Kalisa received the Most Accomplished Researcher Award, which came with a prize of Rwf 10 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking during the awarding ceremony, Gaspard Twagirayezu, the Minister of Education, congratulated the awardees and emphasized the importance of celebrating scientists and their contributions to a growing knowledge-based economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He hoped for more such events to celebrate those in various fields, including science, arts, and sports. Twagirayezu further highlighted the significance of supporting science and technology, particularly in the context of artificial intelligence (AI), which is gaining prominence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
