By involving children in disseminating the results (via mini-conferences), this study will facilitate the spread of information from a small group of individuals to a bigger audience. Real-time Low-cost sensors will be installed at selected schools in Canada, and An air quality app will be developed [DIY AIR-KIDS: Do-It-Yourself, Air Quality Interactive Research for Kids]. This app will provide parents with up-to-date information on air quality at their children’s schools. The app will be used as an educational tool for schoolchildren, providing alerts when air quality worsens and helping raise awareness and data for research purposes. The app will be fully available for all smartphones.
